The jellyfish hanging light is inspired quite obviously by the jellyfish. The design for this lamp grew from the bulb itself. Certain species of jellyfish are bioluminescent. They appear to glow. LED lights have a similar soft glow and hence an LED bulb was used as the start point of the lamp. The body of the lamp engulfs the bulb at its tip and trails backwards flowing into tentacles which follow the length of the wire for the bulb.
